Donna Barry graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2002 with a post graduate diploma in jewellery and silversmithing, and has since won several awards.
Her work involves the fusing of layers of precious metals. In the last year I have developed this technique onto a larger scale to create dishes and silverware. Fusing allows me to gain different textures and imprints on the elements. Working with the materials and technique, constructing and playing with pattern, leads me into different directions with my designs.
I like my jewellery to feel light and comfortable when worn, giving them a tactile and precious quality. My collections include a diverse range of earrings, brooches, rings, bracelets and neckpieces. Commissions are welcome.
