Teaching part time at Northampton College and specialist courses at the Attenborough Arts Centre University Leicester started my education career, this was followed by an associate lecturing post at Stamford College (BA Fine Art).

A period of curating and collecting contemporary art from leading and emerging artists from around the UK and the Burghley House studio residency started with some occasional educational workshops offered for primary, secondary and adult groups.

My work explores fundamental elements of symmetry and proportion and how they interact with each other. Experimenting with positive and negative mass (space and solid) is part of the process. The sculpture finds itself, in a state of flux, although static, I attempt to create visual movement. I am inspired by nature's plethora of organic designs.

I refine my ideas from the sketchbook by making a series of small works (maquettes) then model or carve larger works to a more finalised conclusion. Materials include bronze, stone, steel and mixed media.
