Stephanie was born in Sawbridgeworth in 1973. She studied Fine Art at the Hornsey School of Art, Middlesex University London for 4 years. After college, Stephanie Then spent a couple of years in Norfolk making hundreds of Ink Studies of the Norfolk and Suffolk coast.
"On my walks along the beach, I would collect driftwood and other found objects that I would later assemble and work using acrylic paint. The images were based around my ink drawings and would take the form of boats, cottages, beach huts and Sea Gulls, with no hint of a person in sight and always slightly humorous. Now they have a somewhat fun and burlesque feel to them and people too."
After a couple of blissful years painting and enjoying some part-time lecturing at Norfolk College and at Hertford Regional College, she decided it was time to get a 'proper job', and started studying for a PGCE in Art.
Now, since the birth of her baby daughter, she has returned to teaching but on a part-time basis, and is once again painting, exhibiting and selling her work through galleries in Norfolk and Suffolk.
