A Lifeboat discovered some years ago on a North Norfolk beach is the focus of this hand-burnished linocut. H.J. was attracted by the detail and colour which was more visible with the boat being outside. The lack of a town name on the vessel possibly suggests that the lifeboat temporarily in the area, although the artist's memory is that the boat was stationed at Wells-next-the-Sea. 2024 marks the 200th anniversary of the RNLI.
